About The Movement
OUR STORY
It’s right there in the name: TRACEs, an acronym of trauma, resilience and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Together the letters form a word that means imprints, just like the long-lasting effects of trauma.
Our movement is teaching people to see the shadows that trauma such as generational poverty, historical oppression and ACEs cast on health, school, employment, substance abuse, relationships and happiness.
But raising awareness is not enough. The real power and purpose of TRACEs is cultivating the antidote to trauma: resilience. Across Central Oregon, our 100 partners are fostering resilience in 100 different ways. By working together on our shared agenda, we will shape a brighter future for every one of us.

OUR STEERING COMMITTEE

By 2017, the impacts of trauma had become so blatant to key Central Oregon stakeholders in social services, education and healthcare that they knew something fundamental had to change. Now our steering committee reflects their insights.
